About Us

The Beginning

The Community Outreach Training Center was started by Sharon D. Edwards in 2011 as an outreach program primarily to serve low-income families with professional development, job assistance and GED preparation in Southwest Georgia. This service achieved an 87% success rate in the first year. While providing those services, Ms. Edwards discovered many clients needing housing assistance, money management skills and emergency assistance. The program has evolved to one who provides both housing and homeless services throughout Thomasville and Thomas County. We are currently providing housing and rental assistance, emergency services for the homeless as well as training and supportive referral services.
